Mindsets for Success
Go around the obstacle
Most people see the drudgery of tweaking and sending a resume as a necessary obstacle. What if instead of going through the obstacle, you went around it?
It’s that simple. That subtle….just don’t send a resume!
The Only Belief That Matters
The only belief that matters is your belief in your ability to learn and grow. Bet on yourself. Learn learn learn.
We’re Working for Free (for you)
Feeling stuck in your job hunt or career?
For a short time we’re working for free, giving out 1 hour coaching calls with our new project, Human Liberation.
Hop on a call with me, and I’ll pump you up with tips and advice on your career, and through a revolutionary new method, free you of deeper mindset hurdles. 🙂
This work is for anyone at any stage of their career. I showed the method to sales influencer Scott Leese, and he said, “spent 30 minutes with Joel and cannot speak highly enough about the experience. Everyone wanting to work on themselves should try his methods.”

Quote of the Week
“We have two lives, and the second begins when we realize we only have one.”

The Power of Showing Your Work
When you share with the world what you have yet to master, it very well may feel uncomfortable or vulnerable.
But oh, is it a powerful step to take.
Learning out loud and documenting your work is a core tenant of our value system here at Career Hackers.
This means acts like making a website, starting a blog, shooting a screencast of a tech tool you’re learning (here’s me learning LinkedIn Sales Navigator a few years ago), or even starting a little Youtube channel talking about your quest to learn dog-training.
The point is to broadcast and signal who you are, your interests, your skills, your growth mindset, your humanity.
Show, don’t tell!
And by specifically showing the stuff you haven’t figured out yet, you are signaling “hey, I don’t know much about [dog-training], but I’m willing to learn, create, and build-knowledge as I go.”
Companies will salivate over this as much as your dog will for his bone.
So, what are you working on right now?
Can you share a little?
