Don’t Wait for Inspiration
“I only write when I am inspired. Fortunately I am inspired at 9 o’clock every morning.”
—William Faulkner
If you don’t feel like doing the work to stand out on the job hunt, do it anyway.
Make creativity a habit.
Learn a Tech Tool
When you’re looking to break into a fast-growing tech company, it’s wise to learn a tech tool or software.
Examples:
Marketing: Intercom, Mailchimp, SEMrush
Sales: Salesforce, Outreach, LeadIQ
Operations: Freshdesk, Asana, Hubspot
When we say “learn,” you don’t need to master it. Just get started! Look up a quick YouTube tutorial and create a free account for the tool. Then, make a 2 min. screencast video of yourself showing what you’ve figured out. This is GREAT proof of work (and growth mindset) when pitching a job.
