Don't Be Professional

For some reason everyone thinks they need to "be professional" when it comes to anything job related.

But what does that even mean?

Sure, show up and perform at a high level, like a pro. Don't be sloppy or impolite.

But when it comes to how you interact with people, stop being a false persona. Be real.

Admit your mistakes.
Be funny.
Speak in a tone of voice that's true to you.
When you reach out to an employee, establish rapport like a genuine human.
Express how much you love a company, from your heart.

Stop buttoning up your suit and tie and pretending.

Humanize your job hunt.

The Art of the Follow Up

In this 8 minute time-stamped clip, TK Coleman and Isaac Morehouse give valuable insights on the art of the follow up email.

"No one is going to care about your project and think about it to the degree that you do."
