Give Without Permission

Let’s say you’re going to a conference, and you want to work for the organization putting on that conference.

Create value upfront without permission, to start to get your foot in the door, e.g.

-Take amazing photos at the conference and then send them afterwards
-Write a blog post about the 5 lessons you learned that week
-Go talk to some of the event’s employees, ask genuine questions, and offer to buy coffee. Dont ask for a job or anything. Just give value.

The point is to bring an attitude of creating value without anyone asking!

Taking a Walk as a Revolutionary Act

How often do you take a walk? No phone, just you and your thoughts.

This practice can build a creative synergy to allow possibilities and ideas to hatch, in addition to gaining greater clarity and calm.

Get inspired in this powerful post from Isaac Morehouse and TK Coleman, Taking a Walk as a Revolutionary Act.

“The simple act of taking a walk creates a bridge from busyness to stillness that allows us to penetrate the depths of our mind without completely disregarding our strongly conditioned need to “’do something.’”

Quote of the Day

“How do we keep our inner fire alive? Two things, at minimum, are needed: an ability to appreciate the positives in our life – and a commitment to action. Every day, it’s important to ask and answer these questions: ‘What’s good in my life?’ and ‘What needs to be done?’”
