Create First Thing

I just read that 90% of people check their phones as soon as they wake up in the morning.

Dang. To each his own and all, but in my opinion, that’s just not the recipe to build a day based on creativity. Once you get scrolling on social or checking texts, you scramble your attention and likely set the tone for the day that is reactive, not proactive.

What if you created something first thing in the morning? Record a podcast, write a blog, write a song, learn a new skill, create a mock project. Build momentum towrads your goals!

When you read a book like Daily Rituals, highlighting many famous artists/entrepreneurs’ daily routines, you see that many of them focused on creating in the morning.

You don’t need to be a world-famous creator, but are you leading a life based on your own fulfillment and self-expression?

To build a life and career that makes you come alive is your birthright, but you still need to earn it.

Commit. Create. Daily.

The 30-day Challenge

Austin Kleon agrees with us about the 30-day challenge. Engage the power of the compound effect!

See his recent newsletter about this.

“Take writing, for example: It doesn’t seem like that big of a deal to try to write one page per day.

But if you write a page a day for a month, and you have 30 pages. Enough for a chapter.

If you write a page a day for a year, you end up with 365 pages. Enough to fill a novel.

This is the best way I know to go from nothing to something.”

Quote of the Day

“A champion is defined not by their wins, but by how many times they recover when they fall.”
