The Daily Job Hunt

Is This Job Remote?

Let’s say you see a job posting that’s exciting, but…. it’s listed in another city. And you don’t want to move.

DON’T write to the company and ask ahead of time, “could this job be remote?”

DO create value upfront!

You see, most things are more negotiable than you think. If you blow them away by proving how amazing you are, you might be able to negotiate the opportunity to a remote one! But let that come after you’ve created value.

Give give give give give. Then ask later.

Evernote

Evernote is a great free tool to keep your to-do’s organized, take notes during an interview, or keep track of your follow ups.

You could also create a template for your process each time you pitch a company (here’s one I made back when I was pitching sales roles, to help my workflow. I love the checkbox feature!).
