The Daily Job Hunt

Are You an Entrepreneur?

You’re an entrepreneur whether you like it or not.

If you’re working a “secure” job and just clocking in and clocking out, you’re still an entrepreneur.

You just have 1 client!

And that client (your company) can let you go at any time.

Now, if you become an artist at your company, or someone who creates irreplaceable value, then you are moving in the right direction.

But you are still an entrepreneur, with just one client.

No matter your situation, things could change:

A company can fail.

The economy can shrink.

Your skillset can become less relevant.

You may lose your one client. You may lose your job.

So what’s the point here? Is it that it’s best to start your own business?

That could be an awesome idea. But no, that’s not it.

The point is you need to see yourself as an entrepreneur who provides services in the marketplace.

And, the best way to ensure a sense of security is to continually hone a value creation mindset, to learn skills, and to learn how to prove those skills.

No one is coming to save you.

So take the reins, be adaptable, creative, and empowered.

Enjoy the opportunity and freedom of being your own boss!

Because at the end of the day, you already are.
