If you’re new here, or if you need review, let’s recap how we teaching applying to a job….hint: don’t apply, just email a pitch!

In 5 steps, this post on our blog outlines how to do this.

But what’s a pitch? It’s a quick video you send that’s custom to that company, to make them feel special. In this one from Samantha, she crushes it, for these reasons:

  • Good, specific reasons for why she wants to work with this company.
  • Uses her soft skills page from her pitch deck and makes it very clear how each of these skills translates into real-world, job-relevant activities

P.S. You don’t need to do the full-out slide deck to make a pitch. On our free custom pitch builder, you could just shoot a super simple 40 second video, like this.
