When companies do crappy things

Sometimes companies do crappy things. They come up with policies or make demands that you feel are wrong, stupid, or just maddening.

The most important thing you can do is not adopt a victim mindset.

Instead of spending your energy on how frustrating the policy is, ask yourself, “What am I gonna do about it?”

List out your options. Put up with it. Fight it. Quit. These are all on the table. You get to choose.

Get serious about your priorities, assess your options, and act without bitterness, malice, or regret.

It sucks and it’s not easy when it comes to this. But it’s a heck of a lot better when you adopt a mindset of control than when you just let stuff happen to you and get mad!

You always have options.
