Bark Up the Right Tree

It's one thing to work hard on your job hunt. But what if you're working hard on the wrong things?

Here are the five steps to make sure you are barking up the right tree:

1) Start with getting your mindset right.
Be creative. Be different than everyone else.

2) Now think carefully about your targets.
Choose a small number of companies you like.

3) Craft the tool for the job. Build portfolio projects to display your abilities.

4) Customize.
Send a video pitch tailored to the company.

5) Send and keep tracking!
Find the email address of the hiring manager and keep following up.

Remember to channel your energy effectively to get real results.
