Do a Mock Script

For sales and customer support roles, a great project to send a company is a mock script.

Sales: Write out (or make a video) of a cold-call script for how you would sell THAT company's product or service, and how you would handle objections.

Customer Support: Write out (or make a video) of a script where you are helping a customer solve a problem she might have with THAT company's product or service. Show your empathy and problem solving skills in the script.

Even if what you say isn't exactly "right," creating this project is a powerful signal!

Get a Job In 10 Minutes

Instead of waiting for a 4 hour time block to create a project, what if you took baby steps?

In this (10 minute) episode on Career Crashers, Joel Bein breaks down how you can find a great opportunity, create a stellar pitch, and win the job in 10 minutes a day.

Quote of the Day
